An elegant Japanese kamisori razor made by Iwasaki of Niigata, one of the most respected traditional blade-smiths in Japan. Iwasaki boasts a proud line of master smiths dedicated to the art of samurai blades, and has recently applied the same rigorous hand-craftsmanship to making knives and razors. Iwasaki is also known for using tamahagane, a precious steel used to be only reserved for premium samurai blades, for its utilitarian products.

Kamisori are traditional Japanese shaving razors that still command a high esteem among master barbers. In contrast to western style straight razors, the blade and the handle are one piece of steel, the construction of which allows smooth shaving maneuver.
