An extremely rare cufflink set crafted by Uno Souyou, Showa era Japanese master potter. Master Uno, who dedicated a lifetime to re-discovering the long lost art of 10th century Chinese (Song-style) pottery and whose craftsmanship was recognized by the Japanese government with the highest official honor, occasionally ventured into crafting smaller porcelain artifacts like this set. The stones are Song-style porcelain glazed to resemble how ladybugs are represented in traditional Chinese painting

The set comes in a kiri wood box signed by Master Uno in traditional Japanese calligraphy.
